Gigs, beer events and quizzes in September and October

1 September – Vera Van Heeringen Trio

On 1 September we welcome the Vera Van Heeringen  Trio for a warm up gig before their mini tour, bringing the best in americana.

21 September – Glasshouse Meet the Brewer and Tap Takeover

We will be having a large takeover in cask and keg and a Meet the Brewer with Glasshouse from Birmingham. Created in 2016 by cousins Josh and Calum have grown in leaps and bounds since graduating from Josh’s mum’s greenhouse and are a firm favourite of ours. Starts at 7pm.

5 October – Charity Pub Quiz

Oswestry Mayor Councillor Olly Rose has chosen Oswestry and Borders Foodbank and OsNosh as her mayor’s charities for the year and we will be holding a quiz to raise funds for her charity appeal. 7.30 registration for 8pm start. £3 per head, maximum team size six. Raffle.

6 October – I Am Sam

We welcome I Am Sam, fresh from appearing at Cropredy after a long break for an acoustic set. 8pm start.

20 October – Turning Point Disco Kingdom

Turning Point have been experimenting with their flagship pale and we will have a night of four different versions.

Disco King 5.1% juicy big American hop pale in cask.

Disco Down Under 5.1% the usual hop bill is replaced by Australian and New Zealand equivalents in cask.

Disco Mango has a huge Mango puree addition, Keykeg

Disco Flux 7.5% DIPOA version first brewed 5 years ago, Keykeg.

26 October – Charity Quiz

Charity Quiz in aid of Rotary Club of Oswestry charity appeal.

All monies raised will go to local charities.

The cost is £2.50 per head to take part with a maximum of 6 players per team – so a team of 4 would be £10.

There will be a Raffle with lots of prizes
