Back in July 2019 the tiny Emperor’s Brewery filled two 20 year old wooden rum casks with their Black Forest Gateau Imperial Stout and left it. On 4 April this year they filled eighteen little 10 litre kegs with it and left them to mature further. We have recently been one of the lucky recipients of one of those little kegs.
The tiny Emperor’s Brewery just outside Coalville in Leicestershire are currently rated the top brewer in the world on Untappd and specialise in Imperial Stouts and Porters.
We will be pouring Rum Barrel Aged Black Forest Moon 11% from the keg this Thursday, 1 October from 7pm.
We will only pouring halves and thirds, with a half costing £7.50 and a third £5.00.
